In June, a series of instrumentation workshops (NMR, mass spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, and bioassays/separation science) were held. In July, a faculty-led seminar series was provided for the students. Jon Nagy from Ligocyte Pharmaceuticals in Bozeman also spoke on the advantages and disadvantages of different career paths in chemistry. The culmination of the summer research program was a poster session where each student presented his or her work to the entire department. An awards dinner followed the poster presentations and formally concluded the summer program.
