Five Undergraduates earn INBRE Research Awards
The Montana INBRE (IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence) Program recently announced that five undergraduate students in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will receive Undergraduate Research Stipends. Katie Walton and Patrick Bender work with Prof. Martin Teintze and will receive $750 for work in Fall 2009. Shannon Kruse works for Brian Bothner and will also receive $750 for Fall 2009. Thomas Wright, who works with Prof. Martin Teintze will get $1500 for work in fall 2009 and spring 2010. Alison MacGregor, a Chemistry and Biochemistry student working with Prof. Mike Franklin in the Microbiology Department received $750 to work in Fall 2009.
The students will give a public presentation of their projects at the 2010 Research Celebration that will be held in April 2010. Congratulations to all these worthy students!
