Research Interests
I'm originally from Butte, MT and joined Dr. John Peters' lab in the fall of 2006, and I have been working on understanding the maturation of [Fe-Fe]-hydrogenases. [Fe-Fe]-hydrogenases are interesting enzymes as they catalyze the reduction of protons to hydrogen gas at a relatively high rate. The goal of my studies is to understand how maturation enzymes activate the [FeFe]-hydrogenase structural enzyme. Occasionally you might spot me at Big Sky throwing down rodeos 9 in the terrain park.
