08 - Ph.D. Defense
Ms Ranjana Sarma will defend her Ph.D. dissertation today beginning with her seminar "Investigation of Nucleotide-Dependent Electron Transfer in Nitrogen Fixation and Chlorophyll Biosynthesis " at 9:30 a.m. in the Byker Auditorium. Ms. Sarma is a student of Prof. Joh Peters.

11 - Seminar
Prof. Seiji Mori from Ibaraki University, Japan, will give his seminar, "Theoretical Studies on Unusual Isomerization Reaction Mechanisms Catalyzed by Cytochrome P450" on September 11 at 4:10 in the Byker Auditorium.

Mr. Lars Liepold will defend his Ph.D. dissertation today beginning with his seminar "Exploring the Potential of Protein Cages as MRI Contrast Agents with an Emphasis on Protein Cage Characterization by Mass Spectrometry Techniques"" at 1:00 p.m. in the Byker Auditorium. Mr. Liepold is a student of Prof. Trevor Douglas.

22 - Paul A. Grieco Lecture Series I
Beth Sanger and Lakshindra Chetia will present "Bicyclic Systems and the Synthesis of Prostaglandins" the ifrst in a series of lectures honoring Prof. Paul Grieco.
